Cinematic Portraits with Vintage Flair by a Movie Theater
This was such a special project for me to envision and turn into reality with the help of the amazingly talented and beautiful, inside and out, Kylie. More than just another shoot, it became a turning point—it solidified how deeply cinematic I want my work to be. It truly embodied a direction I was so excited to take as an artist—cinematic poetry, visual storytelling, with an infusion of vintage aesthetics.
Though this was the first project Kylie and I shot together, we instantly connected on set. This is what I love the most about working with fellow creatives—we both contribute throughout the process and achieve a result that exceeds expectations. In addition to making sure that the shots turn out great, I also direct the entire process—exact locations, angles, light (in this case we used a portable RGB panel with red light), prompts, gear, and the overall environment around us, among other things. The model’s talent and passion for their craft shine when they understand the director’s vision and bring their unique style and interpretation to the table. This is exactly what made this photoshoot so special.
From Kylie’s Twiggy-inspired makeup to the nostalgic, hazy glow of the colored light against the theater’s facade, every element worked to build atmosphere. The red light wasn’t just a stylistic choice—it deepened the mood, casting Kylie as a mysterious character whose story you want to uncover but never quite can. That tension, that sense of an untold narrative hidden behind the images, is exactly what draws me to this kind of work.
This photoshoot is a perfect example of my Visionary creative portraiture package. It is ideal for bigger productions—both personal and commercial—that require meticulous preparation and orchestration of a larger production set. Being a truly custom, artistic experience, this package is for those who want their photoshoot to be the centerpiece of a complex, detailed concept, delivering a collection of diverse high-end portraits that convey a story.
